Fitness and its relationship to health and a healthy lifestyle



 Health and fitness help a person lead a good and healthy life. Often due to various stresses on a personal and professional level, we tend to ignore our health. This makes our bodies suffer and our lifestyle causes some other diseases. It is our body's fitness level that helps us fight these diseases. If we are in good physical shape we are able to overcome these diseases, otherwise we will end up being victims of a modern lifestyle.

What is health and how is it related to fitness?

Health and fitness are related to each other. We need to be in good shape to have a healthy body. Likewise, if we are healthy, we naturally gravitate towards keeping fit. Health is the state of our bodies at a particular time. We may not have any disease but still have a weak body ready to be targeted by a number of bacteria and viruses.

For example, we may have a tendency to catch a cold easily. This certainly does not mean that we are not healthy, it means that our fitness levels do not correspond to our age and the climatic conditions in which we live. It all depends on our health which in turn depends on our fitness levels. So health and fitness move together.

Also, fitness level is the state of our bodies based on our age, climatic conditions in which we live, our lifestyle and working conditions. One can see people enjoying high fitness levels even at an older age. For example, every morning you can find in different parks two kinds of old people, one who just meditates and sits in one place quietly enjoying the fresh air, while others who run or walk briskly on the tracks can even compete with the young people on the track. These are two fitness levels at the same age. It's all about healthy habits.

Furthermore, you can see young people who are unable to climb stairs and tend to get tired easily. All because of their low levels of physical fitness which makes them unable to maintain good health. They are less fit compared to other people of their age who keep fit. People who keep fit keep their bodies healthy. So fitness levels determine the quality of our health
